RECOVERY HOUSING RECIPIENT

Just want to give you an update. Things are progressing well. Lined up two job interviews this week and completed them. One of them hired me on and my first day is Monday. I’ve really been connecting with a couple of the guys in the house. Hitting at least one meeting a day (sometimes 2). The house manager took me to his sponsor for a 12&12 study group. That’s my favorite kind of “meeting”. Trying to be as useful and “of service” as possible, I have stayed active. Playing music, going for hikes, helping with other people’s job applications and simply being an active ear for those that want to talk. Honestly, it’s the most connected I’ve felt in months now. My AFR buddy and I have chatted on the phone a handful of times, and we text a lot. He has been a good “spiritual cheerleader”. Been talking to my sponsor nearly daily as well. Thanks for your help and support in this tough time of my life.
